Product availability

All purchases are subject to product availability. If an item is unavailable at the time of purchase, the store will advise you as soon as possible and discuss the available options, including backorder, an alternative product or a refund where applicable.

Delivery locations

Murraylands Firearms ships to most Australian States and Territories in accordance with all applicable Commonwealth and State firearms legislation.

  • Shipping to Western Australia is not available.
  • International shipping is not available.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs are not displayed on the website. Because product size, weight and legal requirements vary, freight is quoted individually by staff in store or on request.

Charges may vary depending on:

  • delivery location
  • parcel size and weight
  • freight carrier requirements
  • packaging and insurance
  • whether the item is licence-controlled

Delivery timeframes

Orders are generally dispatched as soon as practical after payment is received where applicable, all required licences and permits have been verified, and the order has been approved.

Delivery estimates are provided as a guide only and cannot be guaranteed. Murraylands Firearms is not responsible for delays caused by freight carriers, licensing authorities, weather events, public holidays or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Firearm shipping and dealer transfers

All firearms and licence-controlled items are shipped strictly in accordance with Australian Commonwealth and State firearms legislation.

Where required by law:

  • firearms will only be shipped to a licensed firearms dealer nominated by the purchaser
  • a current copy of the receiving dealer's firearms dealer licence must be provided before shipment
  • firearms will only be shipped to the address recorded on the receiving dealer's licence
  • all applicable licensing, permit and transfer requirements must be satisfied before shipment

Business firearms dealerships operating during normal business hours are the preferred delivery locations to help ensure secure receipt. Transfer and freight charges apply and will be quoted before the purchase is finalised. Any fees charged by the receiving dealer remain the responsibility of the purchaser unless otherwise agreed.

In-store collection only

The following products are available for in-store collection only and cannot be shipped under any circumstances:

  • ammunition
  • primers
  • propellant powder
  • explosives or other dangerous goods

Customers collecting these products must comply with all applicable Commonwealth, State and Territory legislation.

Customer responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring they:

  • hold all licences, permits and approvals required by law
  • provide accurate and current information
  • nominate a licensed firearms dealer where required
  • pay all applicable freight, transfer and receiving dealer fees

Murraylands Firearms reserves the right to verify all licences, permits and supporting documentation before completing a transaction. If legal requirements are not met, the sale may be refused or cancelled.

Risk and ownership

Ownership of products remains with Murraylands Firearms until payment has been received in full. Risk in the goods passes to the purchaser upon delivery to the nominated receiving firearms dealer or, where permitted by law, to the nominated delivery address.

General returns

If you wish to return a product, please contact the store before returning the item. Approved returns should generally include proof of purchase, original packaging where applicable, and any documentation reasonably requested by the store.

Change-of-mind returns

Change-of-mind returns may be accepted at the discretion of Murraylands Firearms. Products must generally be unused, in original packaging, in resalable condition, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

Special-order items and regulated products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.

Faulty or defective products

If you believe a product is faulty, damaged or defective, please contact Murraylands Firearms as soon as possible. You may be asked to provide photographs, proof of purchase or return the product for inspection.

Where a product is found to be faulty, your rights will be handled in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and any applicable manufacturer's warranty.

Return shipping costs

Unless required under the Australian Consumer Law, customers are responsible for the cost of returning products. If Murraylands Firearms determines that a product is faulty or was supplied incorrectly, reasonable return freight costs may be reimbursed.

Customers remain responsible for returned products until they have been safely received by Murraylands Firearms.

Products that cannot generally be returned

Unless required by the Australian Consumer Law, the following products cannot generally be returned:

  • firearms that have already been transferred or registered
  • ammunition
  • primers
  • propellant powder
  • explosives or dangerous goods
  • special-order or custom products
  • products that have been used, modified or damaged after collection or delivery

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law. Where a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on the nature of the failure.
